VOXplot is open source and released under the GNU General Public License v3.0. A link to the source code archive can be found at the bottom of this page.
VOXplot uses Praat (6.0.48) for acoustic analysis. The executable packages which can be downloaded here include Praat as an executable binary. Interested parties can find the source code of Praat on GitHub.

Windows-Installer
Installer for Windows 7 or newer
Download the installer suitable for your Windows system (32-bit or 64-bit). Double-click on the downloaded installer to install VOXplot in a Windows default folder for programs. The installer adds an entry to the Start menu and to the Remove software control panel.
During a new installation you can choose whether VOXplot should be installed for all users of the computer (administrator privileges required) or only for the current user.
Update to a new version: Download the installer for the new version here. Continue as above.

Executable program file for Windows 7 or newer
Download the exe file and place the file in any location (e.g. on the desktop). Double-click the downloaded file to start VOXplot.
Update to a new version: Delete the old program file (your settings will be kept) and download the new version here. Continue as above.
Advantage: Flexible, no traces in the system.
Disadvantage: Slow app start up, no system integration (e.g. no entry in the start menu).
macOS
Executable app for macOS (x86, 64-bit)
Download the zip archive and unzip it. You can place the included app anywhere you want (e.g. on the desktop). Double-click on the app icon to start VOXplot.
Tips and tricks that might help if there are problems:
- If an error message appears that VOXplot cannot be executed for security reasons, please allow execution in the macOS System Preferences under the Security Settings item.
- If macOS complains that VOXplot is damaged, download a second (or third) time and try again.
- You can copy an unziped working VOXplot app from another Apple computer to your maschine.
- To be able to make recordings with VOXplot check if VOXplot has the permission to use your microphone (system settings)

The VOXplot executable requires a current libc version (tested with glibc > 2.33). If you cannot start the program, try to use the source code.

Python code and 'accessories'
The zip archive contains the source code of VOXplot, all necessary resources (images, localization), a list of required Python libraries and the license (GPL v3.0). Not included is an executable Praat 6.0.48.
